Doesn’t Christianity have at its base the idea that we all must restrain ourselves from pursuing our every desire, in order that the community does not suffer the consequences from our negative impulses?

I'm sure the Nazis could have used some similar moralistic relativity to justify some of their actions as well. My body is a Temple of/for God. I have the sole right to protect it from impurities like gene altering substances. It's pretty cheap you using Christianity to push this experimental vaccine. It's bad enough the dictatorship is mandating and strong arming people to take what goes goes against their conscience. Here's a quote I got from a posters home page. Read it to see if it sounds familiar.
"I'm frankly sick and tired of the political preachers across this country telling me as a citizen that if I want to be a moral person, I must believe in 'A,' 'B,' 'C,' and 'D.' Just who do they think they are? And from where do they presume to claim the right to dictate their moral beliefs to me?"
