As school boards across the country have faced increasing backlash from parents over the past year, they have asked President Joe Biden to step in, suggesting that those parents who oppose their curriculum and Covid-safety mandates are like domestic terrorists who are guilty of hate speech.

Kinda leads me to believe that the Founding Fathers knew what they were doing when they created divided our legislature into a Houser and a Senate.

Slouching towards totalitarianism.

Slouching? Once they pass the $5.5 trillion spending bill, we’ll be there.

Trump's red tsunami of patriot voters unquestionably have more voting power than the 90,000+ probably mostly desperate Democratic members of the FDR era-established NSBA imo.
"Founded in 1940, NSBA represents state school boards associations and their more than 90,000 local school board members." --National School Boards Association

Corrections, insights welcome.

The ultimate remedy for unconstitutionally big, alleged election-stealing, Democratic Party-pirated federal and state governments oppressing everybody under their boots...

Consider that all the states can effectively “secede” from the unconstitutionally big federal government by doing the following.

Patriots need to primary federal and state elected officials who don't send voters email ASAP that clearly promises to do the following.

Federal and state lawmakers need to promise in their emails to introduce resolutions no later than 100 days after start of new legislative sessions that proposes an amendment to the Constitution to the states, the amendment limited to repealing the 16th and ill-conceived 17th Amendments.

Again, insights welcome.

We have several coops near me - one has over 1,200 kids (uses @ church facility) the other grew so large (over 3,000) it ended up becoming a private school/homeschool hybrid. It has a sports program that has 1,000s of kids (every sport you can imagine) as well.

I homeschooled my boys all the way through, we did a little of everything. It did and does bother me that I pay for a school system that I never used. But the thinking among most homeschoolers I know is if you get vouchers and tax breaks, you end up with the government having a say in what you teach, so everyone just stayed out of it.

I did participate in school board meetings though, and made my voice heard.

I think they’re in panic mode because they have now exposed themselves and their agenda and they’re getting resistance. Too late for them to hide their agenda now. It’s in the open and it’s drawing fire.

The words every battery commander lives for:

“Fire mission! Troops in the open!”

It’s the leftist school boards in the U.S. who need to be declared as terrorists.

Sounds like they are asking to get the DOJ and FBI involved, which will not turn out well for our side, I am afraid.

Then with the social media censorship and MSM pushing the whole socialist agenda... it is going to get more challenging if the teachers win this one.

The NSBA “believes immediate assistance is required to protect” students, school board members, and educators who, they write, “are susceptible to acts of violence affecting interstate commerce because of threats to their districts, families, and personal safety.”

Non-sequitur. They wave the Interstate Commerce thing to try to draw the feds in, but their argument is illogical.

“They are susceptible to vanilla ice cream affecting interstate commerce because of blueberry bushes in the district.”

Same logic. And these are the idiots teaching our kids.

Not quite understanding what you’re saying about the vouchers or tax breaks.

Maybe my solution is too simple. The school system proposes a budget, right? City council or county commission approves it. Usually without asking a question about it. And we all pay for it regardless.

If the council/commission tells the school, you have 600 less students this year than you did last year, our math shows that you’ll be getting g this much less and the folks that have pulled their kids out will not be laying in, or, at least, not paying the full Monty like they have in years past.

Is that too simplistic?

once you head down that road, there’s no end to what a fascist government will declare to be “hate speech” or “domestic terrorism” ...

I believe it already works that way in terms of funding, but there is no relief to those without kids in the system. You’re right, there should be a tax break those who don’t have a child in the school system.
