There is definitely something going on. I don’t buy the excuse that there are not enough workers or that pandy lockdowns are limiting supplies.
It seems more like there are deliberate shortages being created at choke points that are then rippling through the supply chain creating a sort of timed release crisis.
Only governments could do that.
I wonder if it’s nation states feuding with each other, China and the US, a kind of economic warfare that they just don’t want to be public, so they are keeping quiet about it.
Maybe the govs are hoarding these choke point materials, thinking that there may be a conflict soon and they want to be pre-positioned well, sitting on all the computer chips and equipment for electrical substations, etc.
Or, maybe they are working together on it, part of a green new deal global governance initiative.
Regardless, the story is going to get bigger and bigger and everyone is going to feel the pinch if things don’t turn around soon, of which there is not only no hint of evidence is happening, there isn’t even talk of a plan.
I with you. Where did all the workers go? The Unemployment Comp has run out, except for maybe a few states, on a limited basis. The free money has pretty much run out.
If there is such a shortage of workers, then the wages would rise to attract new workers. The higher wages would be way over any amount you could earn from Unemployment, even if it was still being doled out. People were working before Covid, why aren't they working now? Even if they hated their job, why aren't they getting new/different jobs?
If it's vax mandates, they say 80% are vaxxed, so that means only 20% are not working because of vax mandates? And of those 20%, some are probably not of working age anyway.
