A passenger aboard a flight from Boston to Puerto Rico tried to storm the cockpit last night while screaming in Spanish and Arabic, according to an FBI affidavit obtained by ABC News.
BOSTON (CBS) – A passenger on a JetBlue flight from Boston to San Juan, Puerto Rico was arrested after he choked a flight attendant and tried to enter the cockpit. Flight 261 was about an hour out from landing in San Juan after taking off from Logan Airport when the attack happened.
Investigators say Khalil El Dahr tried to make a cell phone call. When the call did not go through, he became agitated. He eventually rushed towards the cockpit yelling that he wanted to be shot.
Just as that happened, a flight crew officer opened the cockpit door. El Dahr then allegedly choked a flight attendant with his own tie and attempted to enter the cockpit.
It took six or seven crew members to restrain El Dahr using neck ties, flex cuffs and four seat belt extensions.
El Dahr was arrested in San Juan and is facing federal charges.
That won’t get him banned from flying....unless he refused to wear a mask.
Hey! You just don’t understand, choking flight crew is part of their culture.
I used to watch MythBusters all the time, but I often noticed that they were not creating the exact circumstances in or out of their shop. They did their best and mostly correct, but not always Apples and Apples.
Also, there have been instances of airliners losing part of their fuselage due to the difference in pressure and weak/failed structure. The last one I recall was a Hawaiian Airline that lost a forward top panel of their fuselage. IIRC, no one went out because all were belted in their seats.
That’s what I don’t understand. 7 people pile-on and no one knows how to break his sternum and deflect it towards his heart? Or jugpunch his jugular?
The 9/11 flights were selected for full fuel loads, and departure times, not destinations.
I'd venture a Newark to San Juan requires a pretty full gas tank...
Trial run today, sorta like finding out box cutters could be carried on the week before 9/11...
Source please?
This guy seems like the Muzzie equivalent of Rip Van Winkle. Asleep and clueless for 20 years.
I recently learned that law enforcement officers may fly fully armed. Son’s best friend is a Secret Service agent and wherever he goes, he’s always carrying. He told my son on one of his most recent flights, a stewardess came to him after he was seated and said something to the effect that he was her armed SS agent on the flight. Pissed him off and he couldn’t sleep during the flight because he felt like a target.
