A video on TikTok and Twitter has gone viral, showing a man about to be arrested for the great crime of wearing a Make America Great Again hat.
In the video, an unidentified man is told by a police officer that if he continues to wear a MAGA hat, he would be arrested and finger printed.
The man then asked if he would be arrested for wearing his MAGA hat, to which the police officer swiftly replied, “yes.”
What kind of insanity are we living under now? Have we turned in to Communist China? How is there any justification for a man being threatened with arrest for simply wearing a hat supporting a former President? The man appeared to be simply expressing his right under the First Amendment to make symbolic statements.
But this is Biden’s America.

The answer is no
State laws and interpretations of laws vary. Some states ban only advocacy of spefically-named candidates, so MAGA would be ok even if Trump was on the ballot. Others define electioneering more broadly. And of course, local officials can be clueless or power-hungry.
Tried to find those pictures from Philly where the huge Biden Harris “sample ballot” posters are on the wall outside of the polling place.. Google has scrubbed those images.

Maybe we should distribute hats that say BLMAGA.
He did not get threatened for wearing a MAGA hat - was threatened with arrest for wearing clothes that advertise a candidate when trying to enter a polling place - which is, and should be, illegal.
And what would you have done if the cop would have slapped leather?

Several years ago I walked out of a 7-11 saw my truck door open with a cop bent over in it looking under the seats. I walked up behind him and asked him WTF do you think you’re doing. Well it was on from that point, he kept telling me he was going to arrest me, I kept saying do it. the argument escalated to the point where he called for backup. The situation changed dramatically once the other cop explained the law to him. I still regret I didn’t file a police report the next day saying I was missing something out of my truck.
The MAGA hat has no official candidate name or party on it. Would the cop enforce the law against a "Yes we can!" hat? A pink pussy hat?
If yes, then it's all good.
It would be nice to know where this event happened. More likely some liberal stronghold, but this is a country of over three million square miles and 330 million people.
