There is an ancient proverb from Aesop's Fables that says, "Beware of what you wish for because it might happen." Such is the lesson that utterly failed Secretary of State Antony Blinken has discovered. After years of being a foreign policy wonk adviser in the corridors of Washington D.C. power, he finally got what he was probably wished for... appointment as Secretary of State. Yet within a few short months that dream has turned into a horrible nightmare as the botched Afghanistan withdrawal quickly unraveled. Due to the utter incompetence of Blinken, his boss Sleepy Joe Biden along with General Milley and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, thousands of lives were either ruined or terminated.
In this video we see the sad haunted face of Blinken at his August 25 press conference. Louder than his words, his face speaks volumes about his many failures. Rumor has it that he will soon be resigning from the position in which he has failed. However, waste no pity on the man who was one of the architects of the avoidable Afghanistan withdrawal debacle. It can only be hoped that if he goes, those who were his fellow incompetents would leave with him.

BIDEN is not really in charge. He is a figurehead and a petulant and foolish one at that.
Blinken looks like a haunted man. Look at his eyes and the set of his shoulders. Any confidence or hubris that he possessed has left him in the last month.
That's been my feeling watching him through this. He seems to show some sadness and shame, while sociopaths like Milley and Sullivan come off as sociopaths at the mass-murderer level.
The Biden Administration just proves the Peter Principle is still in play.

Their ideas always sound great at 10am in a lecture hall full of receptive young people and nodding peers. Academia rarely performs well at 1am when the crap hits the fan.

I cannot begin to guess what he is thinking right now, but he looks shell-shocked. If this were a boxing match you would be willing to bet he would get dropped within a round.
Psaki looked quite uncomfortable yesterday as well. I am guessing that the WH is a pretty nasty place at the moment.

I would imagine there are a lot of Blinkens in this fraudulent “Administration.” They know they’ve been party to a crime already just by being there. Their “leader” is demented to the point he might just blurt out something that could put all of them in peril. And nothing — nothing — is going as planned at all.
If even one of these troubled people gets an attack of conscience, the whole house of cards could come crashing down around all of them.

It is now apparent that Obama and Biden have purposefully, with the release of Terrorist Taliban Leaders in 2014, the Surrender of Afghanistan on August 31, 2021 that entailed handing over $98 BILLION of advanced weaponry to the Taliban and the abandoning of thousands of Americans and American allies behind enemy lines, established a Super Terrorist State. This was planned and executed perfectly.
The advanced weaponry includes 16,000 night time vision googles. Special Forces no longer own the night.
This was planned as far back as 2014. Why would a POTUS release five top Taliban leaders for a traitor?

Very true... stealing an election to get into power doesn’t mean that a competent administration suddenly and magically materializes. The only thing they are competent in is stealing elections.

Well...it’s been warming up for a while starting in March when Blinken met with the Chinese in Anchorage and they promptly ate his lunch.
