Yeah, it doesn't make sense to me, a layman, that all you need to do is
1) Hold a knowingly fraudulent nationwide election,
2) Get the necessary actors to stall investigations for 60 days,
3) You're in like Flynn, laughing at everyone about your ill-gotten gains, safe from any recourse.
What other country works this way? Is this what the Founder's envisioned?

I agree with your premise. There must be redress of the situation if fraud is demonstrated beyond a reasonable doubt. But I have questions as to the mechanics.
It is a constitutional crisis of biblical proportions either way if it is demonstrated that the irregularities and fraud flipped the election. To leave hidey - ho in power would be to abdicate the rule of law. So they become illegitimate immediately. But there is no remedy for immediately swearing in trump. I would assume that the electors that were certified would require decertification at the level of the state. But the electoral college has met.
So….no one now has 270 EV. This triggers the president to be elected by the individual delegations of the house. And the VP from the senate. While this is going on Hidey Ho are not in power. Does this change the balance of power in the senate? There is no longer a 51 vote because Harris is gone.
Not only that with both Harris and Biden gone the succession of the presidency leads through speaker of the house. Say hello to president Pelosi…at least in the interim because Biden and Harris are gone and there is no constitutional way to swear in a new president.
And because of demonstrate fraud what happens to all the appointments made under a fraudulent administration.
I am at a loss to find anyway this can be remedied without president Pelosi.
Whatever the answers are — the mess I think would lead to such a backlash that voted ID and security would become the standard because Joe six pack America would finally be forced to care.

It all depends on what percent of We the People believe that the election was stolen. Right now it’s only about a 1/3 of us, and the doubters dominate the conversation.
We know that a majority of us voted for President Trump, but until a majority is convinced, there is no remedy.
But imagine the conversation when 2/3 are convinced. Everyone will be saying “Wait, so we have to leave Biden in the White House even though it is now proven that the other guy won? - screw that!”
Believe me, if 2/3 are convinced, the fake news, the SC, even the deep state - they will all start throwing each other under the nearest bus.
Everyone wants popular approval - even the deep state.
These audits are shifting the conversation… when it shifts enough, anything can happen, and nobody is going to care that some arbitrary deadlines passed, or that some bullshit swearing-in ceremony took place.
All anybody will care about is not letting another day go by - with the whole world watching - while we tolerate having an imposter running the free world.
Desparate times require desparate measures. Anyway the legislatures made the laws, they can remake the laws.
