Is there a political group with less self-esteem than the modern left? The constant seeking of approval, including from countries we won our independence from, has always been pretty cringe. Under President Trump, that only got worse as Europe decided that the United States was evil incarnate — despite them owing their current freedom (or what they call freedom) to our actions.

American Leftists are the geeky rich kid that all the cool kids hate, but he pays for everything so they let him hang around and they tell him he’s one of them, even tell him he’s their leader. And as soon as he’s out of earshot they all laugh and make fun of him. And he will never catch on.
