The way it works is they refuse to drop charges unless you give up your right to sue for the fake charges.

I agree. But that’s what they do.

And if you don’t they throw you in prison or fine you hundreds of thousands of dollars. Get you fired, etc.

It takes a special person in a special circumstance (eg single male with no or adult children) with plenty of cash to fight that.

Most normal people get their lives ruined just from the charge.

Or, be a street thug with nothing to lose. They can’t do a damn thing to that kind of person.
