Everyone is above the law except the people trying to live by or enforce legal rules or or commonsense behavior standards.

I had more in mind the homeowners who cannot expect others to refrain from trespassing on their property even when it is fences and signed, teachers who cannot discipline a classroom so that children can learn because the parents will sue, retail store clerks who cannot detain a thief—all these kinds of rule-breaking that cannot be resisted by ordinary Americans because of lawsuits by liberals and racial preferentism by progressives.
