Jane Seymour was the third wife who finally gave Henry his son. This child was named Edward; but, he was sickly for most of his life and died young. He was King for a short period of time.

Edward was succeeded by Mary, who was the only living child of Henry and Catherine. Mary had no children, so she was succeeded by Elizabeth.
