Those are well-understood diseases, exhibiting well-established severity, with well-understood vaccines. You get the disease, you’re pretty well ****ed; you get the vaccine, no probable effects of note. Those diseases also don’t mutate, making a one-time (or per-decade booster) treatment sufficient.
Covid vaccines may be FDA allowed, but they’re not approved yet - there’s a meaningful difference. Most people who contract the disease get over it fine; yes enough die to make it a concern, but we’re not talking polio etc levels here. I’ve had Covid, and nobody can yet tell me whether & why a vaccine is required. There is enough weirdness being reported that concern is warranted - including the oft-reported dramatic reactions to the shots, contrasted with the vaccines (which you imply) for other diseases that have no, or trivial & brief, side effects.
Yeah there’s some nuts taking it to the “conspiracy theory” stage, but imputing that nuttiness upon others (who have sensibly evaluated risk and made a personal choice) just aggravates the animosity over the subject.
Well stated. I am in agreement, though, to my knowledge I have not had Covid. Never been tested either.
