About 15 minutes into my walk, a stranger on a bicycle, coming from the opposite direction, slowed down as he approached. I thought maybe he knew me but instead he shouted: “You got a mask on? Yeah, I got a (expletive) mask. You want me to shove it down your throat?”
Wow, this sounds like a real interaction (rolling eyes).. about as real the Jessie Smollett claims... random white folks just roaming around at 2am with bleach and a noose...
But lets just take it at face value and this did happen...

Makes no sense people who swear by masks harass those not wearing one and folks who don’t wear one harassing those that do ? Whatever happened to just go about your day and mind your own damn business? Before the mask era would anyone encountering the same folks even have acknowledged their existence?

See 63... I find this account dubious, could it have happened sure... likely? I don’t think so.
However, yes, just live and let live...want to wear a mask fine, I’m not going to confront you over it, don’t care... but it is amusing after a year of these folks ginning up fear and paranoia about masks, to see them get a little of what they have incited people to do for the last year.
How many times in the last year have folks who refuse to live as cowards had to put up with folks attempting to shame them into wearing masks? How many posted videos on you tube or other places, attempting to scare people or whatnot over mask wearing??
The science is simple, masks reduce transmission rates by around 1-1.5% for most people, and even the extremely elderly its less than 2% and lower the mortality rate by less than 1%. They are theater, nothing more. That’s the REAL science.

However FEAR should not be the reaction of any adult male to someone shouting some idiotic thing at them as they ride by them on a bike...
If they were serious about causing you physical harm they wouldn’t be riding by, they get off the bike and get in your face.. and even then its more often bluster than reality.

The point is, you don’t even need to know that.. the fact he admit his reaction was FEAR to someone screaming something at him as they rode by him on a bike tells you this guy has no stones.. Not surprising to find out he’s homosexual... but even if he weren’t, he’s clearly a wuss.

Has there ever been a mode of thinking in all of human existence that allowed everyone, at the same instant, without qualification, to be regarded as a threat? No. No rational way of thinking has ever allowed this manner of thinking. Has there ever been a simple article or implement that enabled everyone to be less of a threat to everyone else? No – no such article has ever existed in the awareness of rational people.
If there is no proven threat in an individual in the moment of encounter, then how is it even possible to know that such an unknown threat is less of threat? How can something unproven be rendered less than something unproven? This is the absurdity of the claim that everyone not wearing a face mask endangers everyone else.
To fear anyone as a threat of anything without proof is, at worst, paranoia writ large. At best, it is extreme caution whose locus is in the individual harboring the fear, and the onus to deal with such fear is on the individual in whom it resides, not in everybody else around this individual.
If someone fears another person, then the responsibility to avoid the feared person lies in the person who is afraid. The person who is afraid has no right to dictate that another person alleviate fear of a threat that is not even proven to exist in that moment.
