How about the selection I would pick; This is so typical of New Yawk
Eye donut sea ennything rong with that.
If you axe me, im agenst it!
New York is just competing with California for the stupidest government of the year award.
Considering schools pump out illiterate ignorant graduates what does it matter???
Math is racist. Only logical for literacy to follow.
I don't know
How can you teach if you can’t pass a literacy test? Just on general principles, wouldn’t a teacher need to know more than those she’s “teaching?”
Is literacy a requirement in NY? Too much to ask.
As a product of the NY public education system, I think the board of regents should be abolished and the regents exam for students thrown in the garbage. I also think unionization of teachers should be made optional as a “right to work” law, and want stricter exams not run by the board of regents. None of this would ever happen.
>>I had a friend who got a teaching degree. She routinely said, “has went”.<<
Did she insist to be addressed with the title of “Doctor”?

Has she went or has she done gone?
Teachers are illiterate. I have proof.
tswha ayclelirti?...
Nope, the obvious intention is to create masses of "graduates" (whose diploma does not have much more value than Charmin) who can barely read or write and can function just enough to fill lower level jobs. Such severely limited people, of course, will be much more amenable to swallowing libtard information without analyzing or questioning it and vote accordingly. Can't read and pick up on subtle nuances in meaning; cannot write in a clear and succinct manner; cannot accurately analyze the meaning in various writings; cannot research a topic and back up one's statements about it, etc. Cannot do simple math without a calculator. Cannot grasp higher math, with a few exceptions in every class.
FYI, when I took the NYS teacher exams, I got 285 points out of 300 overall, and a perfect 300 score on my written essay.
It was stoopid anyway. Teechurs don’t knead to be tested to teech skule.
I used to play hospital with my friends. Am I qualified to be a doctor?
Last thing I knew, in order to be able to teach in New York State, you had to have a Teaching Certificate, which required a specific number of hours of education, over and above your regular college education. I know this, because my ex-husband was a teacher, had his Masters, but still had to complete additional hours of learning, in order to qualify for his Teaching Certificate. It’s been many years but the requirement may have been 20 additional hours. How can someone qualify for a Teaching Certificate if they aren’t literate?
We shouldn’t be surprised.
Kids are nothing more than grist for the teachers unions’ diploma mills.
