There are not enough men is the US military to pacify a rebellious people in America.

It’s a 10 million man job. 7x24x365.

Because there are at least 300 million private arms in the country and at least 1 million obscure patriots that would resist.

We spent 5 years trying to pacify Iraq, and far longer in Afghanistan. Against far fewer rebels.

And still could not do it.

You can't reasonably compare the "average" Iraqi or Afghani to the "average" American.

Clealry, they have far less to loose in terms of a nice home (with electricity, running water, stocked fridge and pantry and a big screen(s)), a job, a pension, a 401k and on and on.

We just went through a clearly fraudulent election that is increasingly affecting everyone in the country....including the red-ist of red states and...it was all certified as good to go by all states.

We have a long...very long way to go to hit rock bottom before anything even approaching what you allude to would...might happen.

Excellent point.

Which is where the Regime’s overseas ‘friends’ will help.

When the problem of lack of sufficient manpower becomes evident, their ‘friend’ will be only too willing to send a major contingent of mechanized personnel trained in ruthless suppression of civil disobedience to the central authority.

They will be backed by several dozen divisions of mechanized mountain troops (largely uneducated conscripts) from the People’s Army - including heavy artillery. These troops will use the practical experience they gained in 1989 to suppress any resistance.

They will be aided by US Army heavy artillery (HIMARS) and USAF ground suppression assets (A-10, AC-160, B-52s, Predator drones with assorted missiles including RX9s to minimize collateral damage) as needed or required.

Neither the civil police nor the troops will be under any constraints the US troops would normally be regulated by; all people in the US will be seen as laowhy (foreigners) engaged in terrorism and treated accordingly.

US troops will be used to mop up and ‘protect’ the subdued areas. Hold outs will be the province of the USAF and drone strikes where artillery is impracticable.

After things calm down, the ‘friend’ will supply any replacement population needed ...

In some discussions about percentages and rates of purchase, I come up with about 1,000,000 people who will do something significant.

But seriously, if only 100,000 did something serious, there aren’t enough armed military, reserve, police or agents to fill all the calls for troops to man capitols and houses of elites. And every one who does something will probably call forth a copycat, waiting for a Gideon to blow the horn.

It will not be pretty.
