Years later, my wife and I raised New Zealand white rabbits in Oregon to sell and butcher to eat. I didn't have any problem killing them then.

Years ago, PETA was upset terrorists put a bomb on a donkey or some like pack-animal. They do not care about people, though. They also do not care as much about animals as people are led to believe.
When I took SERE at Little Creek, Virginia, Naval Special Warfare Command, we killed a deer and were eating really well. The command chewed us out when they found out. Evidently, it was not deer season in Virginia. Venison was much better than those scrawny chickens they were going to give on the 3rd or 4th day.
PETA should definitely be in charge of American military practices and training methods.

PETA is amazingly silent about the inhumane treatment by Biden-Harris, stacking young human animals on top of each other in cages.
I guess some animals are more important than others.
