NO. Totally different. J&J uses a deactivated adenovirus, which is a 30-yr old proven vaccine technology. It uses DNA, not mRNA, is more stable (doesn't have to be kept at extremely low temperatures), and so far appears to produce fewer side effects.

It only requires one shot (not two like the mRNA vaccines), although there is some evidence that a second J&J shot can be helpful and raise the effectiveness.

No. J&J Vaccine is an Adenovirus Vaccine.
it does not utilize Messenger RNA.

There is no reason to fear any of the Vaccines.
