If you can find one that came off lease with reasonably low mileage, you’ll get a better deal. Be willing to wait and shop around and get rid of the Instant Gratification syndrome.
Yeah you’re probably right. I’ll check around on that. btw, I don’t have the ‘instant gratification’ thing. I drive a 1997 Jeep Wrangler which I purchased new for $15K. It has nearly 200K on it and it’s still going strong. But I’d like to have a new truck...well I thought I did until last night.
My Sahara is 7 years old. The particular model is now going for about 2 k over what I paid for it 2 years ago
That's exactly what I did. Two year old F-150 FX4 3.5L QTwin Turbo, quad cab, tows 13,200 pounds and has that great knob on the console to make backing up a boat into the water or a trailer into it's camping spot super easy.
I wanted the Lariat edition (leather seating, etc..) but didn't want to pay the upcharge for it. So I compromised and got heated cloth seats. Fantastic truck and got it for just under $33k. I got it about 3 months ago now when nothing was moving here in the Shitcagoland area and that truck had been on the lot almost two months. No idea why someone didn't snag it up. BTW, I also got the 100,000 mile drivetrain warranty with it because it's Ford Certified. Can't go wrong.
