As shown on this rendering, the greatest extent of the ice sheet was nowhere near Egypt. Just for a rough estimate, the crows fly distance from Vienna to Cairo is just under 1500 miles. Cool, but not icy

Side scan radar has revealed ancient lake and river beds in the Western Sahara. The Giza Plateau would have been a well watered grassy savanna back then.
