Side scan radar has revealed ancient lake and river beds in the Western Sahara. The Giza Plateau would have been a well watered grassy savanna back then.

Absolutely. Dry at the end of the ice age, wet for several thousand years. Rapidly drying out at the beginning of the ancient civilization. Climate change!
