Some years ago I got the strong impression that acedemics see the neanderthal as some kind of minority in need of their protection.
They developed language to describe the attributes of the Butt Sisters, or so I’ve been told anyway.

Actually the only folks who don’t possess Neanderthal genes are in the Sub-Sahara regions in Africa.
I argue it was the combo mix of Neanderthal and Homosapien 50,000 years ago that promoted our evolution to new heights.
