The number of vessels stuck in a traffic jam outside the Suez Canal rose to 200 Friday as recent efforts to free a cargo ship wedged between the Canal’s two banks failed.
Dislodging the stuck ship, the Ever Given, could take up to a week, and the vessel can encounter structural issues while it remains stuck, a salvage expert told the Associated Press (AP).
The Suez Canal handles approximately 12% of international trade. Its recent blockage threatens to harm the world economy and poses a disruption to global supply chains, CNBC reported....
The ensuing traffic jams forced several cargo ships to consider taking a circuitous alternative route around Africa’s Cape of Good Hope....

Did you see the ‘drwaing’ this ship (sea track) made before it beached itself?
Yep.
Under PDJT, this wouldn’t mean boo.
Obviously this wasn’t the Ever Genius.
Freepers never disappoint! When you should be working on a major project/shit show- you’re posting to a blog! Get your ass busy and save humanity for crying out loud!
Time is money. The fastest solution wins.
Yes... to seeing the navigational track- there was a less than 2-minute video posted at the right of the main video in the selections/menu options area of a typical YouTube page. It looked uncalled for, or to say another way... the captain was not paying attention at the moment he should have been paying attention. When the wind was having its way with the ship. Easy to criticize and second guess.
me: a ferry boat captain piloting a small pontoon boat with 36 passengers maximum. I’ve been in some hairy situations thanks to the weather. It’s always the weather.
The term “Evergreen” reminds me of this 2015 story from Dutch Sheets: Defeating the Giants with Evergreen.
The stuck “Evergreen” could be an indication for us to keep praying, just as Daniel persevered for 21 days. Remarkably, persevering prayer has been theme of Dutch’s Give Him 15 prayers March 23-26.
I am saving humanity. Mine. If I don’t get this ***** line to the septic tank flowing properly again, my wife is gonna kill me!
Thank you very much
Amen
Yeah, there is NO reason that huge heaviest ship of the sea should have ever been in there!
A close friend's sister was a steward with the Seafarer's Union who was murdered and her body found floating in the Chesapeake Bay back in 1993.
Her case was highlighted on the program Unsolved Mysteries and in 1997 the murderer was arrested while incarcerated in a Florida jail for an unrelated crime.
Apparently the guy bragged to a fellow inmate about the murder and the guy turned him in........
Your comment took some time to sink in and then the light came on.
LOL. Yes! LOL.
This accident was rightfully attributed to high winds. The Biden incident on the stairs was wrongfully attributed to the wind.
I just read that Evergreen has 20 more of those ships on order.
Can you give an update to these photos since it’s two days later?
LOL The side of a giant container ship has a bit more wind load than a 90 pound scarecrow like Biden
Yikes!
