I’ve been one of the biggest pro-vaccine voices on FR (so that we can hopefully end this thing and get back to normal)..that said, let me share my own experience.

First Pfizer shot on 3/9. Was fine except for (very) sore arm for several days. 5 or so days later, symptoms set in.

I don’t want to go into detail on my personal health, but suffice it to say I’m concerned enough to be going to the Doctor Monday AM and am asking for bloodwork to be done to find out what in the world might be going on.

Anyone who wants to cut through the debate about “the vaccines are TOTALLY safe” vs “the vaccines could really mess you up” should do their OWN search in the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). I did that this morning, and was pretty surprised at the number of REALLY severe cases of apparent side effects I read - we’re talking multi-organ systemic failures, hospitalizations, ICU visits and worse. CDC will say those cases are not necessarily CAUSED BY the vaccine..but there are enough instances (hundreds to thousands, albeit among millions of shots given) to be on heck of an amazing coincidence if they’re not.

You can search VAERS yourself at: https://wonder.cdc.gov/vaers.html

I’m not here to persuade OR dissuade anyone..but I wish someone had pointed out that the side effects CAN be more than “just” headache, fever, etc that you recover quickly from..because the last week or so sure has sucked for me personally, to the point I’m really wondering if the second shot is wise based on my reaction to the first..as I understand it, Israel apparently found ~80% protection from just one shot. I might go with that at this point depending on what Doc says on Mon.

We have been pointing out the side effects and concerns that doctors are expressing, for quite a long time here.

We get all the people who don’t like what we’re passing along to others, throwing all sorts of abuse and condescending crap at us.

I love science. I’m an engineer. But there’s actualcscience and then there’s junk science, politicized science, that has agendas that are not in peoples’ best interests. Of course there’s a mountain of folks not in the know about the true intents that defned it, the useful ignorants who fight for those people and groups.

I've only two facts to add to your post:

1. I think we all know these "vaccines" aren't approved by the FDA. They were given "emergency use authorization" only. They've not gone through the FDA's normal, rigorous approval processes.

2. If this were any other over the counter medication for example, it would've been pulled off the market long ago due to safety concerns based on the VAERS data. I'm old enough to remember when Tylenol was pulled off the market because there were doubts about it and it turned out to be a whackjob spiking bottles that were already on the shelves.

On a personal note, as a high risk individual myself due to an auto-immune disease (read that: bad genetics and outside my control.) I've personally had to do a metric ton of research on these vaccines and spoken repeatedly with the specialist who treats me for my auto-immune disorder about my concerns with the safety of these vaccines. (I also have moral objections to them as a separate matter.)

My specialist is advising his patients with similar/same condition as mine to WAIT due to there being almost zero data on the vaccine's effects on people such as myself. I've chosen to heed his advice while I attempt to sort through all the moral objections I have to the vaccine. (My decision is to NOT take the vaccine based on what I know and I don't see that changing.)

I've chosen instead to follow the advice I've read here on FR, elsewhere, and in consultation with my specialist who's also read the studies that say Vitamin D, Zinc and Magnesium do much to minimize the effects of the virus of those who take it. I take these three supplements daily and take reasonable precautions to protect my own health because my health is MY responsibility, not everyone else's.

Personal responsibility. Go figure. Seems to be a lost concept in this country these days.
