We had a guy at work return recently after being out with COVID. He’s a big lib and before the election blamed COVID on Trump because “he didn’t take it seriously and didn’t do anything!”. What I wonder is what the masks and social distancing did to prevent him from getting COVID. If that BS worked, why did he get sick?

Three or four months ago, a CDC report showed that 85% of Wuflu victims (1) wore masks all the time, and (2) either fully or partially quarantined — more strict than normal “social distancing”. And Once Cuomo was shocked to learn that the majority of the NY cases were in people who had become hermits in their own homes.
Yet people are fanatics about wearing masks and distancing. What kind of logic makes them say, “I know I have less chance of getting sick if I don’t wear a mask and don’t socially distance. But, dammit!, I’m wearing a mask (and you’d better wear one, too!), I’m going into hiding, and you’d better stay away from me!” ?
