Majority of Trump Voters Say They Will Follow Him to Another Party and Abandon the GOP

A poll released this past weekend indicates a majority – nearly 50 percent – of Trump voters would follow the former President to a new party and abandon the GOP.

The Suffolk University/USA TODAY survey indicates 46 percent of those who voted for Donald Trump in 2020 would join the third party if he were to go that route.

“If there’s a civil war in the Republican Party, the voters who backed Donald Trump in November’s election are ready to choose sides,” USA Today writes. “Behind Trump.”

By contrast, 27 percent of Trump voters said they would stick with the GOP while another 27 percent said they were, as of yet, undecided.

I was a Republican since I voted for Nixon in ‘72 (my first vote). I cringed, gritted my teeth, held my nose, etc., etc.

No more.

Never again.

Mine as well. I gave generously to Trump and will be happy to lend support to any new party.

The GOP is a complete joke. Anything that replaces it will have to be better.

Many, like myself, have already abandoned the GOP. The strangers we supported to do our work no longer represent the conservative values I think are in the best interest of the people and are consistent with our founders efforts. They are supporting the plan by elite liars, cheaters, and thieves (libs) to destroy the country and it’s place in history as the greatest country that there has ever been both for itself and the world. Without what we had, there would be no world. And what we had no longer exists.

I think he would have a better chance if he stayed with the GOP. So many voters always vote party line. And the weasel GOP politicians will back him if he gets the nod.

I don’t think Trump creating a new 3rd Party is a great idea. He should try to fix the current Republican party, rather than destroy it.

Now, that doesn’t mean I’m opposed to a new third party. But if there is going to be one, it needs to pull equally from the Democrats, using some things we could both agree on.

Before you say there is nothing we agree on, Christianity is one thing, in the greater grass roots of the two parties. Blocking Chinese imports is possibly another. Bust up the big banks, and cap wealth. Just think of things our ruling class doesn’t want, and there would be widespread interest in this new party.

I think Trump has a great chance to do exactly that. Biden is disenfranchising many Dems. Trump’s appeal to us all was largely based on his being outside the Swamp. Put those two ideas together and I think he has a great chance to create a huge majority of voters.

The leadership of the GOP has nothing in common with the rank and file. They are owned by China or their sexual deviancy is being used to keep them in line. Who would have thought Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert was a pedophile? How many pedophiles are in Congress?

It would be nice in the GOP disappeared. But having a democrat candidate, republican candidate and a trump candidate running would be interesting to see the outcome. I won’t piss off people guessing who this helps. The blinders are in full effect. Anyhow, Georgia Senate race in November had this with Collins, Warnock and Loeffler. Had Collins not run, we’d have a 51 gop majority.

That will help establishment republicans in the primary since you’ll have to sit the primaries out.

No in NC the parties can choose to allow unaffiliated to vote in each election if they want to. And in NC 1000s have left the rep party to do as I have and the reps here know it so it behooves them to allow it in all up coming elections.

ABSOLUTELY

AS a life ling accounting person, I realize when you cannot ‘fix’ a set of rotten company books, and it is best to find a starting point—even if years past—and re-post EVERYTHING.

Have had to do that twice with clients. One company, we went back OVER 4 years & redid everything.
