WashPost Cheers Biden's 'Low Key' Response to Texas Storm
Newsbusters ^ | February 23, 2021 | P.J. Gladnick

Democracy dies in a low key response?

What happens if a president does not do much to aid citizens in the middle of a weather disaster? Well, if the president is a Republican, the media condemnation would be loud and angry. But if the President is a Democrat, the reaction would be...meh. Such was the case with the Washington Post on Saturday running cover for Joe Biden over the fact that his response to the Texas winter storm has been rather underwhelming.

In the same WaPo article they slam Trump for being too responsive to natural disasters.

The pinkos who run the so-called “news” media must think Americans are too stupid to understand their role in the soft coup.

I remember Katrina, when the media was blasting President Bush for failing to respond, when the governor of LA had not asked for help.

Governor Abbot declared a state of emergency before the storm hit. That should have been the signal for FEMA to step in. And Biden did nothing until the storm was over, and we’ve mostly recovered on our own.

I wonder how much incompetence the media will cover. I’m thinking that even if the economy collapses and we’re in the midst of a full-fledged foreign invasion, the media will STILL cover Biden. They’ll never want to face the fact that socialism and incompetence (almost the same thing) are not viable governing models.

Don't give the Dems any ideas. It's better this way.

Option 2 is a 2 trillion dollar relief package, with 87 cents actually going to Texas.

His low key approach was an Obama dirty dog communist approach of denying aid to 177 of the 254 Texas counties as pay back .... only the 77 counties that sucked for Biden got aid ... yep, the major Progressive sh.tholes and surrounding counties.

When things grossly malfunction under Democrats, it’s defined as “the new normal.”

I would greatly appreciate a source for that.

Yeah. Low key. He ignored the state for a week, basically to punish its Governor and citizens.

They could have had a FEMA emergency response immediately with tents and warming facilities, field hospitals, generators, etc.

Trump would have done it even if he hated the governor.

What I fault Cruz for is that, instead of running out of state, he should have been publicly begging Biden for help for his state.

Biden (or whoever is running him) wouldn’t have done it, but it would have called attention to the fact that it was Biden’s decision not to provide help to a state in need because he regarded it as a political enemy.

Well basically according to my constitution the federal government has no power to do anything when God makes the weather, the weather. FEMA in it best unconstitutional day was an insurance expediter. Now its another form of welfare.

That’s right, he’s punishing those who did not vote for him. First it was Keystone XL, then banning of fracking (although New Mexico was collateral damage on that one) and finally freezing out Texans by not allowing enough power to be generated. And yes people died from his decisions.

Please read the Declaration. Only 77 counties are declared as a major disaster. The other 177 counties can apply for “public assistance”.
