And you have some evidence to support this hypothesis?

Care to share it?

Weak justifications for forwarding liberal talking points.

I am not the one who started the thread and Cruz is the one who thought the interview I linked to featuring him throwing President Trump under the bus would help his popularity and career. This recent buffoonery is all his own doing, and his attempts to talk his way out of it are providing more and more comic releif to his constituents. He is proving to be the same idiot who tried to steal the Primary from President Trump by all maner of underhanded means and earned the moniker “Lyin Ted”.

Romney just put out a statement condemning Cruz for not putting the dog in a carrier mounted on the top of the plane.

I don’t care that he left us, the last thing I wanted in this mess was some politician flapping gums.

I’m sick to death of politicians—all of them.

Make thinks it is more like ‘plants’ from the other side put on sites to demoralize the population’s support for anyone that might fight the big commieDemonRat’s agenda.

“Leaving the dog is unforgivable.”

There is plenty of forgiveness, not unlike the forgiveness that would have been shown to any other politician in the country that would have done the exact same thing.

You are ok with animal abuse?

*If* the story is true, that is exactly what this is.

Fortunately, the last legitimate President made that a federal crime.

As long as he didn’t leave it on the roof of the car.

From the article.

The man, who identified himself as a security guard, said it was and that the senator wasn’t home.

When asked who was taking care of the lonely mutt in the presumably chilly house, the guard said he was.

I don't have a problem with his security guard taking care of the dog. A non issue.

How is it that Ted Cruz is the ubiquitous FreeRepublic whipping boy for piss poor leftist energy policies and bad weather?

The hard fact is, Ted Cruz is NOT liked by a significant part of the base.

After his "vote your conscience" statement at the convention, many (including me) are done with him.

I'm sure Cruz will run in 2024, but it would be better for everyone if he didn't. He's too divisive a figure among conservatives.

No, it is not ok.

Dogs are not cats. They are sentient creatures who bond deeply to their caretakers. This can be extremely traumatic for a pet.

No one who would do such a thing deserves a pet.

Don’t try to Karenize me. Our former President made this crap a federal crime.

The dog was being properly taken care of, So his sin was not taking the pup on vacation? Honestly, I wish I could leave my dog home on my vacations instead of the fancy dog boarding house, and have a security guard care for him.

If some posters would actually read the article, it plainly states that a subdivision guard was taking care of the dog.

What would people be saying if Ted put his daughters by themselves on the plane without a parental escort?

Hunter Biden can steal millions, hear nothing about it. A poodle is left at home for a couple of days (and there was probably a dogsitter or a cleaning person caring for it) and THIS is condemned? Grow up, people.

OMG, you think that's a sad look? LOL, you should have seen the look on my dog's face (a 95 pound Rotten Shepherd) when my wife stole a piece of steak I was cutting up for her.

The dog doesn't let me out of her sight when I fire up the Traeger.

And what's with the shade being tossed at poodles? My parents had two, and they were great family dogs, and very smart.

Class envy, victim mentality, and craving the government's emotional teat has infected both sides of the aisle.

"Senator Cruz is an inconsiderate sometimes boyfriend. I just want him to care!"

Ted should have put on his lineman’s spikes and personally repaired all the downed wires after restarting all the windmills and thawing out the shuttered natgas wells.

And don’t pay attention to the EOs Biden is signing and bills the democrats will be voting on. So what the democrats are going to start the gun bans and give amnesty and citizenship to 50 million illegal aliens. Be outraged that Ted went to Cancun while his dog was at home.

Imagine if he took the dog?
