The vast majority of people who got COVID are just fine, too.
There are other treatments that are not as suspect as the vaccine and yet they are not only not being pursued, but actively fought against.
You have to ask why.
Why not treat with HCQ or Ivermectin?
Why MUST it be a nRNA vaccine, and two shots at that, that don’t guarantee you won’t get sick or be contagious, or provide any kind of decently long immunity and prob, conveniently for big pharma and their shareholders, will require lifelong booster shots?
“Why not treat with HCQ or Ivermectin?”
Money, control, and agenda.
There are a lot of dead people to attest to the virulence of this virus. that being the case, life isn't going back to any kind of normal until this virus is basically eradicated.

I don't feel that suspicious about the vaccine. I am more suspicious about snake oil being peddled as miracle cures.
Why not treat with HCQ or Ivermectin?
The last time I asked one of the hospitalists if they were still using HCQ he said they had stopped because it wasn't providing any benefit. This was probably last april. they have moved on. We'll see what happens with Ivermectin. last I knew, it was shown to be effective in vitro with extremely high doses but had not been shown to be effective in vivo. and honestly, immunity would be preferable. We have a very poor track record of actually treating viral infections. Vaccines have always been our front line defense against them. We beat them with vaccines.

mRNA vaccines are the future. They are to live virus vaccines what the automobile was to the horse and buggy. Vaccines are just scratching the surface of what they're capable of. I have much hope for them.
Two shots are necessary to guarantee a robust immune response. You need high levels of neutralizing antibodies and that's the best way to get them. I think they're perfect for this virus because they are highly adaptable. If the virus mutates, you just sequence the new spike protein and use that in the booster shot. Plus, they're actually cheaper, easier and probably safer than live virus vaccines. Look up the cutter incident to see what can happen with live viruses.
There are no guarantees but they seem pretty effective and I think everyone is just erring on the side of caution. The powers that be know what they know, what they don't know, what they know they don't know and that there are things that they don't know that they don't know. I think after we know more, we'll find that it does significantly reduce transmission.
I think we will definitely need one to two booster shots. It is what it is. ADE is what everyone is talking about and ADE is tied to falling antibody titers. We need those titers high. people who don't get the vaccine, IMO, may be at risk for ADE as their antibody titers will drop, the virus will mutate, and the next thing you know they catch it again but instead of having a mild illness, they get the worst case scenario version. That's another reason why I prefer the vaccine. i don't care if big pharma makes money. I was invested in Moderna and Lonza group but i sold it all after the election. Foolishly maybe.
That’s exactly right.
I had it about a month ago - nothing more than a few days of lethargy, sore throat, and no smell/taste. A bit like a two day hangover.
I’m back to 100% now - running, exercising, and doing my normal vigorous routine.
I don’t need any vaccine now and I praise God I got this thing to be honest.
