Cooper may be despised outside the metro areas but he won the governor’s mansion in the last election by a decent margin. Unfortunately the metro areas you mention are growing rapidly due to immigration (legal and illegal) and retiring Yankees from the northeast moving to the state due to its moderate climate and lower cost of living. Demographics is destiny and the demographics in 2022 will be less favorable to GOP candidates than in 2020.
So many in Congress are 88, 87, 86 and on and on it goes...Old DIFI is 88 come June...Nancy is 81 next month, March, 26. and this week watching old Pat Leahy 80, and in poor health, acted as a Pro..President of Senate, and even cast a vote...NO REPUBLICAN would have been permitted to do that...then let's not forget old MAXIE, ALMOST 83...
AGE DOES MATTER...OLD JOE BIDEN proves that every day...and he will destroy this once great Nation...SAD DAYS AHEAD...

Agree the gubernatorial candidate was weak. As are both GOP Senators. Tillis and Burr. Robinson is the exception to the rypical GOP candidate in statewide races. Who is the next Robinson and is the party nurturing more Robinsons? I don’t see it here where the GOP puts out boring candidates who either fail to win or if they win spend their efforts to further the economic interests of developers and insurance companies, often at the expense of the average citizen. On social and cultural issues they are quick to capitulate when elected to local government.
I agree, I contacted my NC legislators over an issue and neither even acknowledge my email or returned my call. That is why I would support Lara Trump. Truthfully other than Cooper the RATS do not have really great candidates in NC. I am torn, I would love to have control of the NC legislation and Governor. But, the only way to stop Biden’s agenda is to control both the House and Senate making him a lame demented duck. I think Robinson could win either race.
