“The shooter was a white guy with receding hair line. He looked almost like the Sargent at arms for congress.”
I don’t know if the version I saw was high def or not but it looked like Chuck Schumer to me.
That’s how he looked to me too.
It looked like Chuck Schumer to me, too. It probably wasn’t Chuck, but it probably was somebody in the employ of Congress.
He had, as I recall, a nice dark grey suit, a white shirt with French cuffs, and distinctive cuff links. I saw this on a close up of him moving out from behind the door.
Some of the idea that he was dark-skinned comes from the fact that one of the videos (there seem to have been several) is very dark. I originally thought Ashli Babbit was Hispanic because she looked so dark in the first video that I saw.
I hope somebody has been saving all these! Theoretically, the FBI should be doing that, but nowadays, they’re probably just busy confiscating the evidence.

As chief law enforcement and executive officer of the Senate, the Sergeant at Arms (SAA) enforces rules of the Senate; provides a range of technical and administrative services to Senators in their Washington, D.C., and state offices; and maintains security in the Capitol and Senate office buildings. The SAA organization is comprised of more than 800 personnel.
On January 7, 2021, Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer announced that he would fire the incumbent Sergeant at Arms, Michael C. Stenger, if he was not fired or did not resign prior to Schumer's being appointed as Senate Majority Leader.[8] This announcement was made the day after the Capitol Building was infiltrated by a violent group of supporters of President Donald Trump. The act resulted in the death of at least 4 people and damage within the building itself.[9] On the same day, Mitch McConnell, the outgoing Senate Majority Leader, asked for and received Stenger's resignation, effective immediately.[10] Deputy Sergeant at Arms Jennifer Hemingway was announced by McConnell as the acting sergeant-at-arms.[11]
