However sophistated it may be, for those of us with open eyes, it's very difficult not to arrive at the conclusion that we are living through a coup d'etat.
It's breathtaking to consider the full scope of it. Fixing the exact starting point may be somewhat difficult, but the infamous January 5, 2017 Oval Office meeting is probably as good as any. It would literally take a hefty book to recount the whole thing subsequent from there (and will I'm sure, presuming said book could be published), but you all know the basic outlines: #NeverTrump fragging, false charges of treason with Russia, use of "ballot harvesting" to take the House in 2018, Deep State leakers and turncoats buried throughout government, 24-7 negative media coverage on all channels, impeachment without a crime, the "plandemic", suppression polls, social media censorship, midnight ballot dumps, hacked voting machines, three SCOTUS cowards and a traitor, and finally, the outright unpersonning of anyone who dares to publicly question any of it, starting but certainly not ending with the ability to access the Internet.
America is certainly very unique, and this kind of coup is somewhat, but not entirely (see: Ukraine, 2014), without precedent, so it's hard to know where it all might end up. But looking at the 50-70+ years of uninterrupted Communist rule in the Soviet Union, China, North Korea, and Cuba, and really uninterrupted centuries of other kinds of tyranny all over the world and history, it doesn't seem likely that were we to lose our republic as seems likely in eight days, we will gain it back anytime soon. Maybe we lost it long ago, and it's just a lot more obvious now. Who knows?
So tip one back for the American Republic on January 19. It was good while it lasted, but nothing lasts forever.

I still have a shred of hope that Trump will pull a final rabbit out of the hat. The odds seem EXTREMELY long, but hey, I don’t see any reason to completely lose hope.

A month or two ago Mark Levin had a good article on this. What the Republicans did was illegal - they needed to make a change to the state constitution instead.
Then the courts added more provisions to the new law which was also illegal.
The Senate will not have enough physical time to convict him before the 20th.
So this is all moot. Kabuki theater.
I have the greatest admiration, respect, and love for our President. but he took an oath to protect and defend our Republic from, in part, domestic enemies? Obviously, there is much I don’t know about how he is being constrained and marginalized and it breaks my heart. I’m sure it wasn’t in his plan to lose our Republic without a Founding Father’s fight but we’re about there. May God bless the once-proud U.S.A...
He will not go out the door with his tail between his legs. Very uncharacteristic of him.
He'll play his last hand at the last moment.
He played his hand on Jan 6th. He lost. It was a well played hand but he was outmaneuvered by the swamp, democraps, and the MSM.
I actually think the odds are in his favor. Nobody will expect him to spring a trap on the criminals and coconspirators at the last moment.
It is a long shot but is would be uncharacteristic for him to just walk away without getting his vengeance.
No matter. We only have a week left to wait and see.

It’s an old slide, 2016 election. But the point still stands.
Especially once you consider we’d be forming a new country and there are counties in Mexico and Canada who would like to join.
Seeing from the shocked reactions of Hillary and her supporters in 2016, Trump was not supposed to win. He didn’t have to put himself out there for us but I am grateful that he did. He couldn’t defeat the enemy within but he did show Americans that we could bring jobs and prosperity back when his predecessor said it couldn’t be done. I would thank him in person if I could.

On top of all that, the PA Supreme Court let it stand, and the US Supreme Court did nothing.

I think that Obama and of course Nancy were in on it as they ran and set the whole thing up out of his secret basement in DC. You don’t have four states shut down counting without some coordination being involved.

I’m not sure why he starts talking about the courts first and then the legislature, as that wasn’t the chronological order of things.
