“So shut your yap!”
Screw you sonny. Go ahead and roll over like a beaten dog. I’m no spring chicken either, but I’ll never give up the fight, never. You deserve something all right, and that’s what you’ll get, a communist/socialist/pinko/Dem controlled country where you will indeed have to lie down like a cowed dog because you will be forced to; and to you that seems to be acceptable because you are so willing to give up and acquiesce.
We need strong men (and women) who aren’t weak-kneed and ready to hang it up whatever their age. My older sister is 89 years young, and she’s still a fighter for our cause, bigtime. The fight’s all out of you, isn’t it; then you deserve what you will get. Too bad you want to take me and the rest of us that still want to fight for our country’s soul, down with you. Pffffft.......
“At 73, and not many more years left to live”
P.S., I’m 73. Sure glad I don’t have your attitude. You are old at heart; I’m not.
I’m the last one in my family left. The oldest lived to be 74. The youngest died at 51, so I don’t have the hope of living to be 104. I’m a realist. I believe in quality, not quantity.
It does say the first part of that; it doesn't say the second. Legislatures determine the "manner" in which electors will be selected. And the legislatures of all of the states in question have determined that that "manner" will be the winner of the popular vote, as certified by the Governor.
“I’m a realist. I believe in quality, not quantity.”
Well, if we lose the vote in GA tonite, realism is going to slap you up against the face, whatever your age. I’m fighting to the end, and as I already stated, I’m 73 years old also. Don’t give up; get going. We have a mortal enemy, and stand to lose our entire way of life.
Quantity has a quality all its’ own.
Have at it. I'm more concerned with my youngest son's health at the moment.
“Have at it. I’m more concerned with my youngest son’s health at the moment.”
Then you should be even more concerned about what the future will bring for our country, as you have a son who will have to live in it. You know, that quality of life issue you spoke of.
True words
And accurate
Thank you
They submitted them direct to the President of the Senate, surprise surprise.
The GOP is a weak and soulless party. Its never going to change. Reagan couldn’t reform it and neither will Trump. Actually, I think Trump may be thinking beyond the GOP and starting a new party. If he does it will have 75 million new members chomping at the bit to join it. The GOP will then quickly become an empty shell (which some say it already is).
Tomorrow might well be the beginning of the end for Gutless Old Party. There’s a silver lining in every cloud.
Do you have a source for that?
Thanks for the lecture, but I already had a mother and father, and I don’t need another. What is it with people who think they need to tell other people how to live their lives? Oh that’s right...liberals do that.
Boy these crypto-liberals here sure are confidently Constitutional
How much was this weasley bureaucrat paid by the CCP?
The National Archives and Records Administration does not exist in a bubble; what it does is governed by statue passed by Congress, signed by the Executive.
The Constitution says that the slates of electors are sent to the Vice President, not to the National Archives. Statute doesn't override the U.S. Constitution.
I think your top speed lags a bit behind my lowest gear.
That from a person who is governed by a "statue".
LOL!
He does not need count the Trump electors for those same states. The 12th Amendment says the president of the senate counts the votes and the candidate with the most votes, wins. Neither Trump or Biden will have the 270 needed to win with all the electors counted.
But after rejecting the illegal electors, Trump would have something like 232 and Biden 222, making Trump the new president.
I don't agree with your interpretation of Article 2.
And even if I did, any law passed by a legislature isn't supposed to bind the constitutional power of a future legislature.
For example, the PA law was passed around 1940. It would be unconstitutional to bind a current legislature to that.
I read it correctly.
"If the National Archive can choose not to process illegal or unconstitutional slates of electors then so too can Pence."
No. The Archives has no responsibility to forward random slates of electors that are sent to it. They follow the rules, and that's not how it works. Pence also has to follow the rules. He has no discretion.
Oh noes, a typo!
Keep reaching for gov’t authority that doesn’t exist, we’ll see how that plays out at 1pm today. :)
