That’s fascinating! Between those structures, the discoveries in the underwater caves off Cuba, and the Bimini Road ... well, who can say? I’ve always thought that if Atlantis did exist, that’s the area it would be in. Would love to be a member of one of the exploratory teams, wouldn’t you?

I would imagine that these areas of sunken cities, if it wasnt caused by raising water levels after the ice age(Which I do not believe) I imagine the tsunamis from massive Plates dropping into the ocean(Which for most I believe) would seriously wipe out any above sea level structures for several miles inland... no matter the elevation. that could very well be the reason there are no matching structures around “Town”...

We Italians descendants are odd ducks :)

Odd ducks how? Like a clown? Like you're there to amuse me?

My favorite scene of that movie was the entry into the Copa. That is EXACTLY the way it was circa 65.

When we were watching yesterday, my wife said the exact same thing about that being her favorite when that scene came on.

Neither of us were born in '65, but I can imagine.

Or Olmecs...or a predecessor culture. Oceans have risen approximately 300 feet since the end of the last ice age.

There is area off of the south side of Jamaica that was land back in the 1500-1600’s. It seemed to remember reading it sank into the ocean some time in the 1700’s. It was in the books about pirates like Captain Kidd/Blackbeard.

Assuming the image is not fraud.
The structures look vaguely Mayan.

LOL

That scene was actually based on a supposed incident Joe Pesci had when he was a waiter.

Mobster didn’t like his comment about being funny.

It makes more sense in that instance..a lowly waiter commenting on a mobsters jokes.

:)

This magazine/site is not a source for legitimate archeological news any more than the Nation Inquirer is for regular news.

Yup - questionable - Overall, we rate Archaeology World Questionable based a lack of proper sourcing and a complete lack of transparency regarding ownership and authors

I read a book that said the Garden of Eden was in the Farmington River (CT) valley. The only Eden about Connecticut is high taxes...

Only for Liberals, for others it's a HELLHOLE!!
