President Trump, in what he described as the “most important speech I’ve ever made,” claims “bad things happened” during the election.
Trump added that if he’s right about the level of election fraud that took place in 2020, “Biden can’t be President.”
In a speech that stretched 46 minutes, the President once again claimed voter fraud during the election was rampant and that the results were rigged.
“If we are right about the fraud, Joe Biden can’t be president,” he insisted. “We’re talking about hundreds of thousands of votes. We’re talking about numbers like nobody has ever seen before.”
The speech was posted to social media outlets Facebook and Twitter, both of whom added their own labels – Twitter stating that the claim is disputed, and Facebook adding that “Joe Biden is the projected winner of the US Presidential election.”
Still, President Trump vowed to fight on in his speech, asserting that “the mail and voting scam is the latest part of [Democrats] four-year effort to overturn the results of the 2016 election.”

‘Bad Things Happened’ Trump Says in Election Fraud Speech
While President Trump insisted in his speech that “bad things happened,” the Department of Justice has been sending out mixed signals.
“As president, I have no higher duty than to defend the laws and the Constitution of the United States,” Trump told the American people. “That is why I am determined to protect our election system, which is now under coordinated assault and siege.”
Earlier this week, Attorney General William Barr disputed the notion that the 2020 election was rife with fraud.
“To date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have affected a different outcome in the election,” Barr told the Associated Press.

Shortly thereafter, however, a DOJ official went on record with reporters saying the media had misconstrued Barr’s statements and that the department had not declared any conclusion or “affirmative finding of no fraud” in their investigation.
“The Department will continue to receive and vigorously pursue all specific and credible allegations of fraud as expeditiously as possible,” the official added.

The President May Run Again in 2024
Trump’s speech alleging that “Biden can’t be President” if voter fraud is as widespread as he personally believes is yet another sign that he has no intention of conceding.
He has maintained that the allegations of fraud must be investigated, if only so that the American people can feel confident in a free and fair election.
At a recent White House Christmas party, President Trump reiterated his intent to keep fighting in a more impromptu speech, but added a glimpse at future plans should things not work out this time around.

“It’s been an amazing four years,” Trump can be heard saying in a live stream of the party. “We’re trying to get another four years, but otherwise I’ll see you in four years.”
When he makes that speech – his intent to run again in 2024 – it will be the new most important speech of his life.
It just might be the most important speech for America as well.
