SANDERS AND THE FAR-LEFT AGENDA IN AMERICA

According to U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders, a "progressive", "democratic socialist", most Americans "prefer a Far-Left Agenda". That means the "Socialism/Communism" agenda. For decades, Sanders and others like him have been pushing this "agenda", and the majority of American people have repeatedly rejected it, not embraced it! It should be made well-known in this day and age of "progressive" advocacy, that even Vladimir Lenin, one of the original "fathers" of Communism, in 1921 recognized, just three years after "socialist policies" were implemented in Russia under Soviet rule, that "this thing will not work" and how disastrous those policies were for Russia. It took only three short years to break down and devastate the economy! The "Far-Left" agenda has been disastrous for every country and society that has tried it. Despite Lenin recognizing so early on the mistake socialist policies were for Soviet Russia, Stalin and others like him kept the agenda going, with American Lefties desiring to transform America into the same "Utopia". Though it took many decades for Communism to fall in Russia, the process began in 1989 with Gorbachev and the tearing down of the Berlin Wall, continuing with Russia's current leader, Vladimir Putin, a former KGB officer, who made it his mission to get over 20,000 Christian churches throughout Russia repaired, rebuilt, and re-established. Other countries who fell under the communist yoke have also rejected the Far-Left regimes, learning firsthand how destructive the policies and agenda were for their societies and their people. The Far-Left Agenda doesn't just devastate economies. The consequences for liberty and freedom are horrific.

Prior to the 2020 November election, Senator Sanders was on television stating repeatedly that the "goal" was to get Joe Biden elected as president, and THEN the "progressive" agenda would be pursued and pushed. It should send a chill through the spine of every American patriot that the American Left is indeed now "pushing". Senator Sanders and the rest of the "progressive" wing of the American Democratic Party should take heed that pushing a "Far Left Agenda" in the U.S. is not only terribly misguided, it is UNACCEPTABLE. It cannot, must not, be allowed to prevail.

However Sanders officially claims “Sweden in 1970ies” as his ideal.
That’s actually why the oligarchs like it. Sweden in 1970ies was country run by few oligarch families, all of them already rich, before the socialistic era started. Socialism in Sweden basically eliminated middle class and especially any chance to get ahead and make big money. But somebody had to feed the people, so the oligarchs, who were already rich, just kept growing their business. They just reinvested the profits (as anywhere, re-investments are basically free of taxes) and pull out just enough money to live comfortably. Not having any competition helped therm profusely.
“Democratic Socialism” actually produces this oligarchic society of few very rich and everybody else just getting along.
Kind of where Obama/Biden America was heading and may be heading again. Note that it was quite popular in Sweden and there are still, after 100 years, some vestiges of it there.
Really hard to get rid of any government program!

I am not sure about poison, maybe he really got the stroke. But he (Lenin) never recovered and was kept more-less alone for few years in his county home. The only person allowed to talk to him regularly was Stalin. So Stalin basically run the country in Lenin’s name. Great setup for future dictatorship.

For Stalin, it was all about power, no matter how many lives it destroyed, no matter how it destroyed the economy via centralized absolute control.

Towards the end of the Cold War, I think it was 1987 or 1988, a high ranking party official said before the Hungarian parliament “Socialism didn’t work. We must start over. “ The command economy was abandoned. If Brezhnev or Andropov was in power, the tanks would have been sent like Czechoslovakia twenty years prior.
Then Poland dropped the chains.
Czechoslovakia likewise.
East Germany imploded with the fall of the wall.
Romania’s Ceaucescu was up against the wall.
Eventually Gorbachev gave up.

I definitely agree that Sanders is a far-left ideologue, and that most Americans have fortunately rejected him.

However, I do have some issues to state with your analysis:

1. Regarding Vladimir Lenin, more likely he only implemented the NEP so he’d restore Russia enough for another go around to take it down again due to it threatening to kill off Communism far too quick for his tastes. He wasn’t merely naive that Communism would be great and then realized near the end that it wasn’t good. He knew full well what it would entail. Aside from Gary Morson’s “Leninthink” article spelling it out that he WANTED carnage first and foremost, there’s also the fact that Lenin deliberately not only voted against relief efforts during a bad famine in the Volta, but even went as far as to outright sabotage a charity specifically to ensure they can’t get any relief efforts, specifically because he wanted the people to starve to such an extent that they become radical enough to embrace Marxism, and then after taking power, decided to starve his populace anyways for a sheer kick. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing.

2. Regarding Putin, actually, Trevor Loudon as well as Ion Mihai Pacepa have given pretty convincing evidence that Putin was also still very much a far-left communist. If he objected to certain elements of the far left agenda, it’s purely out of pragmatism, like how Stalin locked up gays in Gulags despite supporting the homosexual agenda abroad. Besides, I don’t think a guy who’d compare Christian Relics to Lenin’s Relics should be considered anti-Communist.
