Its reminiscent of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Dramatization. Paul Newman etc. While theyre robbing the train a single train car pulls up in the distance. It stops. Several riders on horses jump out in pursuit. The lovable thieves scatter. Butch and Sundance are running for days, asking each other, who are those guys?
Who ARE those guys?
Then, high on a hill at nigh, they get off their horses for a rest from where they see, far off, torches. The pursuers are moving toward them, relentless. Smart, instinctive.
Butch and Sundance give in, identifying them, the Native American, expert tracker, Lord Baltimore, in the straw skimmer hat, the best law man. Not Best lawman as in easiest to bribe, but as in he always gets his man.
He doesnt pay any attention to the newspaper articles that News read aloud. He doesnt care that butch and Sundance have friends, a girlfriend. That theyre hard working folks trying to make it in the Wild West. He was hired to do his job. He took it on because he knew he could accomplish it, having a reputation to enhance.
Lin Wood is Lord Baltimore.
Lin Wood represented Richard Jewell. What a story. Awful. I have faith in Lin Wood based on that alone.
(Thanks Clint Eastwood for the terrific movie.)
And Kamala Harris is Katharine Ross - Not!!!
I know the scene you are talking about and strangely I had just thought of that recently. Great movie.
huh??
Thank you for this wonderful homage.
