All told, over 30 years wearing US Army.
Wouldnt trade it for any other job.
I met some damn fine people.
Mostly Sergeants.
It took a lot of good Sergeants to get me through 30 years.
I wish I could see each of them today and shake their hand and thank them.
The first one being that old Combat Engineer Sergeant who showed me how to shine boots.
Thanks, Dad. Miss you. Rock of the Marne!
The hippies threw rocks at us when we were practicing close order drill in the early 1970s. The football players caught them and we never had any further problems.
I am an old sheepdog. I dont particularly care for sheep, but they are my sheep, and if someone tries to hurt them, theyll find my jaws on their throat.
Thank you, Sergeants.
