You obviously have a computer with a modem or you wouldn't be on Free Republic.
That's all you need to get live-streaming programming. If you don't have a smart TV, a ROKU stick is only $30. Plug it into you HTM1 port and you TV is "smart". Most programming content services give you a month or two free trial. No contracts to sign.
I was paying $200 a month for DirecTV (satellite--I live out in the country) and the premium movie channels. I cancelled it and went live-streaming through my computer modem. I pay about $15 for all of the programming I will ever have time to watch.
I realize that.
I have no intention of sighing up for it.
We saw how much it cost and the budget did not allow for us to pipe in that kind of trash into our home.
