That appears true, and while she may have been regarded as a "hail Mary" move she will likely remain on our political stage even if temporarily blown off.

It is clear she is a strong American (?) Leftist who is well groomed and connected - look at her background, her record in office, her campaign promises and who she is married to. Such credentials suggest she will at the least have some place in a future Dem admin, if she chooses.

Yes. But she is of part Caribbean descent, there's quite a difference between them and "native born" Blacks. I saw this growing up near Spring Valley, NY. There's an old joke if you grow up in Spring Valley you'll become Haitian by association. But oftentimes they're not that "one big monolithic happy family" Jim Crow Joe thinks they are. I've seen more animosity between the Haitian and Native born Blacks than across racial lines. Like tribalism
