Stevie Nicks: There’d Be No Fleetwood Mac ‘If I Had Not Had That Abortion’
Breitbart ^ | 10/15/20 | Alana Mastrangelo

After telling Variety that she’s contemplating leaving the United States if President Donald Trump wins re-election, rocker Stevie Nicks says there wouldn’t have been a Fleetwood Mac if she had not had an abortion.

“If I had not had that abortion, I’m pretty sure there would have been no Fleetwood Mac,” said Nick in a recent interview with The Guardian. The singer ended her unborn child’s life in 1979 while she was dating Don Henley of The Eagles. “There’s just no way that I could have had a child then, working as hard as we worked constantly. And there were a lot of drugs, I was doing a lot of drugs — I would have had to walk away.”

Besides, Nicks felt that “the music we were going to bring to the world” was much more important than the life of her own flesh and blood.

“And I knew that the music we were going to bring to the world was going to heal so many people’s hearts and make people so happy,” she said. “And I thought: you know what? That’s really important. There’s not another band in the world that has two lead women singers, two lead women writers. That was my world’s mission.”

The rocker jumped into the presidential election last week, telling Variety in an interview to promote her new single “Show Them the Way” that she’s “thinking: Oh, space” if Trump wins. “Maybe I can talk Elon Musk into giving us a jet and letting me pick 50 people.” Nicks is not the only celebrity elite to suggest that she wouldn’t have been able to figure out how to be successful in her career if she had started a family.

Reminds me of Whoppie Goldberg saying: “I wish my mom had had an abortion.” These clowns really are that stupid, never taking their word view to its logical consequence. Turns out incomparably ugly Whoppi has had a few abortions.

Well, if you’re going to compare one of Lennon’s offspring, at least reference Julian, who had some hits in the 1980s . . .

If I hadn’t killed that Puppy there’d be no Fleetwood Mac.

Kinda puts it in perspective doesn’t it?

She made a bad decision. She is now in her 70s and childless and alone. This is not unlike so many of my wife's friends. One of them died of cancer recently. She had no family of her own and no husband, just relatives who live half way across the country.

One of our daughters became pregnant in high-school. She kept the baby. He is now the greatest young man that we could have ever hoped for. He fought wild-land fires for the past several months.

It doesn’t make any sense. Fleetwood Mac had already had their two most successful albums.

Many women had children while working as musicians. Martha Davis, of The Motels, had two children at the peak of her musical career, for example.

That’s probably not true, especially as one of her songs with FM just went viral on social media.

I see she’s still trying to justify the murder in her own mind.

Well, I’ve been ‘fraid of changin’
‘Cause I’ve built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I’m gettin’ older, too

That child never got a chance to grow older and she never got a chance to build her life around a child.

I thought the same as you, Olog-hai. But I guess since John hated him, TigersEye does too.

Lennon gave an interview in 1980 that didn't say he wishes Julian was aborted, but was tantamount to it. He also didn't leave him anything in his will.

But Sean Lennon probably doesn't have a tenth of the talent Julian does.

Never forget a bumper sticker I saw...

One dead. One wounded.
Abortion.

I didn’t give Julian a thought one way or the other. Never heard what John thought of him. I’ve never listened to the music of Julian or Sean.

I hope that answers your moronic questions, nick.

Oh come on now...the life of a wealthy musician is tough. Talent and kids do not mix...indeed, children just get in the way. And MARRIAGE...well, don't get patriarchal.

There is NO musician with real talent who could possibly get and stay married AND have a lot of kids AND be successful.

Oh wait...

The very UNMEEK Father Edward Meeks delivers a moving and heartfelt sermon to his flock on what REALLY MATTERS if America is to survive!
The entire sermon is excellent. If short on time, the meat starts about 10 minutes in. Please share this one.

I didn’t give Julian a thought one way or the other.

Neither did John Never heard what John thought of him.

He said Julian was, "born out of a bottle of whiskey on a Saturday night." So he kind of gives Stevie Nicks a run for her money.

Of course, his wife and the love of his life moved her lover into his floor of the Dakota the day after he was killed on the streets below. Apparently she cheated on him their entire marriage and probably never loved him. I guess what goes around comes around.
