After telling Variety that shes contemplating leaving the United States if President Donald Trump wins re-election, rocker Stevie Nicks says there wouldnt have been a Fleetwood Mac if she had not had an abortion.
If I had not had that abortion, Im pretty sure there would have been no Fleetwood Mac, said Nick in a recent interview with The Guardian. The singer ended her unborn childs life in 1979 while she was dating Don Henley of The Eagles. Theres just no way that I could have had a child then, working as hard as we worked constantly. And there were a lot of drugs, I was doing a lot of drugs I would have had to walk away.
Besides, Nicks felt that the music we were going to bring to the world was much more important than the life of her own flesh and blood.
And I knew that the music we were going to bring to the world was going to heal so many peoples hearts and make people so happy, she said. And I thought: you know what? Thats really important. Theres not another band in the world that has two lead women singers, two lead women writers. That was my worlds mission.
The rocker jumped into the presidential election last week, telling Variety in an interview to promote her new single Show Them the Way that shes thinking: Oh, space if Trump wins. Maybe I can talk Elon Musk into giving us a jet and letting me pick 50 people. Nicks is not the only celebrity elite to suggest that she wouldnt have been able to figure out how to be successful in her career if she had started a family.

What a sick, selfish, of-this-world beeotch.
That baby could’ve become a brilliant and creative musician...offering the world much more, than this selfish wench.
Oh, no....it’s all about her, her hard ‘work’ and taking drugs.
Lets hold every one of these deranged celebs to their promise to leave the country, when POTUS is re-elected.
Our country will be MUCH better off, without them.
That’s next
Bingo! This website needs a “like” button, or a thumbs up option.
You are absolutely right. The world would have survived very well without her “music”.
Rationalization: One of the forms of negative behavior. I learned that in Jr. High health.
Kinda like finding out that guy singing so passionately behind the mic was really singing about some Mike’s behind.
Sorry Stevie, but since Lindsey Buckingham left, FM and you havent been nothing in 40 years. Team up the The Boss and Neil Young. They are also nobodys from the 80’s.
Somehow, I think the world would have survived without Fleetwood Mac.
She will have to give an account for that innocent’s life if she doesn’t repent.
And as I recall, Fleetwood Mac’s music wasn’t all that important.
Planned Parenthoods new pitch, kill your baby, win prizes.
No Fleetwood Mac wouldn’t have been any loss as far as I’m concerned. They’re nothing more than another has-been band.
Or maybe she wouldve had the child, still worked very hard, not ruined other peoples marriages not become a drug addict not become an unhappy old lady maybe she couldve had it all.
Thats right. And they were better then. She ruined Fleetwood Mac.
It should be the hope of every parent that their children are better than they themselves were. Nicks denied herself much great joy by putting her selfishness ahead of everything else.
South Park having folks confuse her with a goat in that one episode was funny.
Tell your story to God . . .oh wait, He already knows about your murdering His Creation. You are one sick woman!
TMI.

There was a Fleetwood Mack before you joined, Diva.
I can’t come up with a way that murdering her child in 1979 would have prevented the forming of Fleetwood Mac in 1967 or even prevented the release of Rumours in early 1977. Sounds like Stevie is trying to ease her tortured soul. Sorry Stevie, sell stupid somewhere else.
You were one of the lucky rockers. Not because you killed your unborn child but because you outlived most of your drugged-out contemporaries.
Blame Trump if you want to, but it won't fill that void in your life that was entirely of your own doing.
