Like I said on another thread. McConnell needs to nip this crap in the bud and move to a vote as soon as possible.
She has already been vetted.
Give each member of the committee 5 minutes to speak then vote.
Yes they should.
One of the shortcomings of the Kavanaugh hearings, in my opinion, was that we went through a week of hearings, where Corey Booker auditioned for the part of Spartacus, and the raucous audience interrupted things, etc. But then, before they could proceed to a final vote, they orchestrated this “shocking” new evidence against Kavanaugh, so then we have to have more delays and hearings, as they investigate the new shocking sexual misbehavior allegations.
That should be nipped in the bud. I would love for Lindsay Graham to announce on day 1 of the hearings, that ALL scandalous information needs to be disclosed right now, or else will not be considered in the evaulation of a nominee.
This business of going through hearings, and wasting everyone’s time, as was done with Kavanaugh, because they were holding onto a hand grenade to be tossed into the proceedings later, needs to stop.
Imagine if Jim Jordan were a Senator and took McConnells job.
Since every democrat has already declared a NO vote, there really is no excuse for hearings except to examine her judicial record since her appellate appointment for which she was vetted and confirmed.
No public burning at the stake please.
yes yes
committee hearings are NOT required for a nomination
if there is to be a committee hearing, it can be as short as desired
it will be very nice to see a good justice confirmed to fill the vacancy by week’s end
“...move to a vote asap.” Ditto!! Let’s not let these commie SOBs ridicule and abuse our nominee as they did Judge Kavanaugh. To hell with that and to hell with them. I care nothing about protocol, tradition, nor feelings at this point. Only the Constitution and the law. Just put nominee to Floor vote and be done with it.
