Maybe this guy should read “The Art of the Deal”, or maybe learn how diplomacy is done. It’s not new.
It’s pretty simple. The Gulf states feel threatened by Iran and are willing to side with Israel/U.S. But to do so they must, 72 years later, fully recognize Israel to sign a mutual defense pact. As a side benefit for Israel they gain leverage against Palestinian intransigence.
Actually moving the needle is something very new.
Give Arabs credit. They know the Art of the Deal and they know the Art of War, and they know when to hold ‘em and when to fold ‘em.
