Jarad Bentley and Brady Williams knew they would get in trouble.
But that didnt matter to the teenagers from Morrow, Ohio. In their hearts they knew they were doing the right thing. And thats all that mattered.
The boys had asked permission to carry flags honoring the police department and the fire department onto the field during the September 11th football game at Little Miami High School.
Jarads father is a firefighter. Bradys dad is a police officer. They wanted to honor first responders on the 19th anniversary of the Muslim terrorist attacks.

But the school district refused to allow the boys to carry the flags. And they were told there would be repercussions if they defied their orders.
The boys considered the cost and on Friday night they ran onto the field with their teammates carrying a Thin Blue Line flag and a Thin Red Line flag.
On Monday they were suspended indefinitely from the football team.
We cant have students who decide to do something anyway after theyve been told that they shouldnt be doing it, superintendent Gregory Power told television station WKRC. We cant have students who decide to do something anyway after theyve been told that they shouldnt be doing it, superintendent Gregory Power told television station WKRC.
Power told the television station that he saw the flags as symbols of a political point of view and didnt want to set a precedent.
We did not want to place ourselves in a circumstance where another family might want a different flag to come out of the tunnel, one that may be [one that] many other families may not agree with from a political perspective, he said.
Kellie Williams wrote on Facebook about the brave and patriotic decision her son and his teammate made.
Sometimes standing for something thats right, means you may stand alone. Im proud of the son we have raised. A son that knows right from wrong. He knows the importance of honoring the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice at a time when he wasnt even born, she wrote. WE WILL NEVER FORGET!
So high school football players who take a knee and denigrate the police are celebrated and saluted, but young people who honor the flag are ridiculed and punished.
Thats not right, America. Thats not right.
The firemen and policemen/women in that city should tell these aholes that in case of a burglary, robbery, rape, or hijacking, as well as a fire, “Don’t call us, we’ll call you back in about an hour”.
If it is a small city, the word will get around fast. You screw with the police and fire department, you’ll get NOTHING in case of an emergency.
Oh, and here is a couple of vehicle violations tickets to chew on, plus we’ve scheduled fire safety inspections at all your homes, businesses, and city offices.
Payback’s a bitch so welcome to “Payback, Ohio”.
WKRC LOL. Who was the reporter they told, Venus Flytrap or Dr Johnny Fever?
They will hear from us. I live six miles away from LMHS and my oldest son goes to this school as a freshman.
First year in public school. He wanted to see how it was. Guess we are finding out.
These boys have more courage than the all NFL combined.
God bless them and their families.
Note to their parents: Well done.
If anyone here is still on Twitter, please tweet this story to Trump’s Twitter feed.
I bet POTUS would be interested.
This school is 25 miles north of Cincinnati. Former farm contry. A bunch of libs moved up from Hamilton county about 20 years ago. Lots of real people still in the area.

Haven’t done that in a while.
Great for them! If they are the stars on the team, it would be really be great.
Dropped my son off at 6:50 am. One protester out front waving a Blue lives matter flag like mad.
Probably join him tomorrow with a home made sign about this year’s school levy or teacher’s unions.

WQRP, and WKRC are real local call letters for local stations.
The most important local elections you can vote in are School Board and local State Prosecutors.

First they came for the Jews, yada yada yada...
You and I are next.
Things sure have changed since 9/11.
Good for you. Now consider running for a seat on the School Board.
Put a slate of candidates together if you can. If by chance and hard work you win youll be in a position to fire this nutless Superintendent.
Revenge is a dish best served cold.

Good idea.
My first thoughts on what to do would have gotten us into trouble.
Plenty of time for that in the future.
I’ve been told the super is conservative. The school, however is so heavy on bureaucrats the administers have their own million dollar office building off school campus.

Sounds like it needs a For Sale sign out front.

Good. The more the left cracks down on kids like this creates more conservatives.
