Someone is trying to discredit whatever it is thats coming down the pike, through shoddy and speculative Hartford Courant story about prosecutor resignation, which suggests that something is about to happen....I havent had much hope for the investigation being conducted by prosecutor John Durham. Not because of anything particular to the Durham investigation, but weve been disappointed too many times before....The Hartford Courant ran a shoddy piece of gossiping about a lawyer on the Durham team leaving supposedly because she didnt like the political pressure on the probe. Or at least, thats what the headline suggests, Nora Dannehy, Connecticut prosecutor who was top aide to John Durhams Trump-Russia investigation, resigns amid concern about pressure from Attorney General William Barr.
But the actual article doesnt prove the headline, at best its based on anonymous people speculating as to her motives for resigning (emphasis added, with my annotations in brackets):

I’m afraid it’s too late. If people were going to pay for the corruption then the investigations should have been completed and people should have been charged.
They ran out the clock.
It’s over.
Nothing.
Or, there is a DNC master schedule of "to be revealed" lies to discredit Trump every day until the election.
I’ll repeat my remarks from another thread, along with the observation that, if one were an operative for the Deep State, interested in discouraging the development of effective opposition to the Deep State, one of the strategies one might employ would be to constantly intone the drumbeat of defeatism and the hopelessness of opposing the Deep State among people who might be so inclined. I implore those who find themselves in the Counsellors of Despair and Giveuppedness camp to spend some of their (probably significant) mental ability on figuring out how we can help shape the world we live in, instead of criticizing those who try.
“And now the cascade of “Nevergonnahappenaholics”, tumbling out like the contents of Fibber McGee’s closet, or spewing like pea soup from Linda Blair’s possessed gullet. It’s really tiring.
The forces protecting the evil bastards who have been running this country into the ground are very formidable. It’s going to take a hell of a lot of guts to overcome it. A little encouragement wouldn’t hurt. The cost of failing to overcome it is, simply, everything. Absolutely everything. I wish just a couple of people around here would stop putting all their energy into cynicism, in the mistaken belief that lowered expectations will insulate them from disappointment. Put some of that energy into working to make a difference. Easy? You bet your life it isn’t easy. That’s why we need some help to get this done, not a crowd of people standing around on the sidelines, saying “he’ll never do that. It’ll never happen.” Find a way to help. Make a way to help. If we don’t get this job done, this country and everything it stands for is over.
Over.
And you will not feel any better because you can say “I told you so.” “
Yawn...
I understand peoples negativity but your point is the correct one I think.
“I am a proud but rare California conservative. “
So you are that one conservative in La la land
Sorry, you couldn’t be more wrong. Happy talk and “encouragement” has gotten us to this point. Four years after these Deep State crimes and little of substance in reply to them. Meanwhile we’ve had Trump supporters lives ruined, Democrats running the “Trump” DOJ for years, evidence destroyed, MAGA agenda stalled, etc. By any measure the coupists have been wildly successful thanks to bipartisan swamp support.
Maximum pressure must be applied to get any results from the Trump hating GOP. Gowdy has admitted the GOP controlled Congress knew in 2017 that the FBI was lying to Congress regarding FISA. And what did they do? NOTHING. You really want to give the GOP a medal for that? No thanks.
Yeah, sure.
Clearly, what we have here is a failure to communicate. No where in my rant did I say that everything is beautiful, or to just wait and everything will be fine. To the contrary, I said that WE have a huge mountain to climb, and WE need to focus ALL of our energy (not to mention as many caps as we can manage) on fixing the things that are broken. Essentially, the point I made is the SAME as the point you made. Two main ideas:
1) our government is full of corrupt people trying to undermine truth as well as our interests
2) whining and saying it will never happen is not fixing. We have to concentrate on fixing.
Please reread my post and see if that isn’t what I said.
