DC is a one party consent “state.”
I don’t know about DC but this would not be illegal if the person taping the conversation was in New York (for example).
In some States it is illegal to tape unless all parties to the conversation consent.
But in others (I think most) it is legal as long as one party to the conversation knows about it. (so basically slimy is legal but spying is not).
Trump gets attacked from every direction. He must really be over the “target”. These creeps will stop at nothing to get him.
I think the point is that he can sue her and even win, but in the meantime it will be out there. And her handlers will have what they wanted.
So Virginia has turned Dem by incoming worthless filth migrating like pests from a fumigated house. A blackface wearing goofball Governor. And a law that allows secret recording?
Like other states I am too polite to mention, Virginia sounds like it is ready to be flushed.

Agreed. I was just thinking this earlier today (before hearing about this news story). I was wondering why these things didn’t happen in the Obama administration and wondered if it was because people would actually be afraid to do something like that.
