So the police are just supposed to stand down and let him ignore them, and go inside his car?
That was my first thought also...
If they have no way of knowing and he just kept going after being tased. He was on something for sure.

Hard to say. It’s certainly possible. It looked like he was reaching for something.
They have a right to use lethal force in a situation like that.
It simply will not matter because BLM, AntiFa and the Left will come up with a version to let them further their Revolution.
Um, not trying to be argumentative here, but anyone who reaches into a vehicle in that situation is going to get shot, anywhere in this country.
Now, one could question why the one cop wasn’t more aggressive in keeping that door closed and so avoid the necessity of using deadly force. In fact, I’m sure he WILL be questioned about that.
But once the guy got inside the car, his fate was certain.
I agree but when you throw in his resistance to the taser which will knock most folks on their ass that is the clincher. I bet he was on some drug.

Agreed. Burn the city down first, get the facts later.
1. He didn't obey the police commands to stop walking away.
2. He enters a vehicle, with gun drawn police behind him.
My first guess is that the police will argue, that after repeated commands to stop, they feared or saw the 'unarmed' man retrieving a weapon.
My advice to my white/black/asian son when confronted by the police, stop what your doing, drop whatever is in your hand, and obey the officers' directions.

He was not following instructions. He was getting into a car or perhaps reaching into the car, in spite of instructions otherwise. The cops had to assume he had a weapon in the car.

If I were President Trump I would get my face in front of a news camera now. Ask the people to remain calm that he is personally involved and promise swift action on getting to the bottom of what happened.
I would even put the police chief under arrest until we find out who paid these people to do this.
At this point that won’t happen. NG will be out in a heartbeat like they did before. I’m thinking PCP !
