Given a Fix-it ticket.
I was headed to the Range.
We have pocket phones more powerful than the computers that sent men to the moon. We have lasers that can shoot rockets out of the sky, we should be able to develop weapons than can immediately disable suspects instead of lethal force.

Exactly the way I look at it. It looks ugly. Really ugly, but we can’t see everything. But I’m afraid it IS ugly though. This one is going to be the worst yet.
Looks like only one cop shoots. The others didn’t see anything worth a gunfight or even decided to fire because the other cop did.
You can hear the women screaming. But nothing verbal from the cops. You would think they would have escalated verbally before popping off 7 rounds at close range but I guess not.
Calling it! It’s going to get bad and Trump is going to have to cancel the RNC for safety sakes! CW2 here we come!!

Sure looks awful on first view; as I consider, the cop who did the shooting was standing behind the subject, with a view into the car and door area that no one else had. For the sake of the country, I hope he clearly saw something very scary, that didn’t disappear.
Cuz if he didn’t, all hell’s going to break loose.

I actually witnessed an officer involved shooting in San Francisco years ago. Dope dealer on a bike pointed a gun at cops and got a belly full of cop lead for his troubles. Even in that case the cops shouted a verbal warning as they unholstered their weapons. I don’t hear that here. Most likely a case of a cop cracking here, unfortuantely.
The man walked away from the police, and as he did he pulled something out from under his tee shirt in the back, or appeared to. Remember that once you get in the car, the Car becomes a wepond.
Maybe they saw a holster on his back side and that is why they shot. Need to wait, but the rioting will start immediately.
Basically, they've put the cops in a box by taking away the other reliable weapon they had; now the cop is left with the gun.
Who knows how this particular situation is going to shake out. But there is a problem with most if the “just obey the police” comments here. A citizen can not be expected to behave in a perfectly calm and rational manner when under stress.
The police are trained to behave in a calm and rational manner when under stress. The general public is not.
As an example, take the (white) guy in Mesa that you mentioned. He was unarmed. And the police were pointing guns at him and yelling commands. He went to hike up his pants. The police murdered him.
Some here will say that shoot was justified because he made a threatening move. Nope. He was just a guy acting less-than-perfectly while under stress. And he was murdered for that.
