To: San Joaquin
I grew up on Collins and 80’s pop Genesis. Good stuff, but years later, when I bought their greatest hits, I leaned that the Gabriel era was even better and that Phil Collins is a very underrated drummer.

Collins and Peter Cetera both suffer the same thing. Both are better known for sappy 80s ballads, but my god, Cetera could play a mean bass, on those early Chicago albums.

Speaking of a mean bass I was just listening to Whipping Post Live at the Fillmore East as part of my driving songs.

I’m not really a bass player but gosh I love that bass track its like he breathes it.

Then there’s Mountain Jam . . .

Tell those two kids that these songs were played live and with no AutoTune and see if they can even comprehend it.

Those were the days when bands proved themselves on the road. If they didn’t die doing it first . . .
