Speaking of a mean bass I was just listening to Whipping Post Live at the Fillmore East as part of my driving songs.

I’m not really a bass player but gosh I love that bass track its like he breathes it.

Then there’s Mountain Jam . . .

Tell those two kids that these songs were played live and with no AutoTune and see if they can even comprehend it.

Those were the days when bands proved themselves on the road. If they didn’t die doing it first . . .

I heard the other day, that the last original surviving member of Molly Hatchet, Steve Holland, passed away. Damn, that was one good band, loved Danny Joe Brown (RIP!)

I hear ya man. Youngest son plays bass, and when they tour, I’m up all night. Can’t sleep. It’s tough to be on the road and play like that, especially if you haven’t made it “big” yet. It’s hard on the body to do it, even if you’re young.

These boys don’t autotune anything either. They are old school souls.

I miss live music. I’d love to see a show someplace, and soon. What is summer without outdoor music festivals?
